SkillCodex mobile privacy policy

SkillCodex is a local-first, offline-capable atlas. The Android app does not require an account, and the developer does not collect, sell, or share personal data through the app.

Scope and identity

This policy applies to the SkillCodex Android app (package ai.skillcodex.app), published by TiMax group. The app ships a bilingual English/French content snapshot and performs its core search and decision features on the device.

Data handled on your device

The following preferences and activity can be stored locally so the app can work offline and resume where you left off:

language, theme, and onboarding preferences;
favorites, recently opened entries, and reading position;
collection names, resource references, chosen languages, saved revisions, and their order;
the current decision-session identifier and progress;
recent Search descriptions only when Search history is explicitly enabled (it is off by default).

Collection and sharing

The app contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, account system, or proprietary remote content channel. TiMax group does not receive the local information listed above. The app does not read your clipboard. It writes to the clipboard only after you choose a Copy action.

Actions that leave the app

Opening a cited source launches your browser. Sharing a canonical URL or an exported Markdown or JSON file launches the system share sheet. Importing a collection reads only the file you choose in the system file picker and requires confirmation after a preview. These actions happen only after your explicit request; the selected browser, file provider or receiving app then applies its own privacy terms.

Retention and deletion

Histories can be cleared where they are shown, and collections can be deleted individually from Collections. Deleting a collection does not delete favorites or mission progress. Uninstalling SkillCodex removes its app-local storage; files you explicitly exported remain where you saved or shared them. Because no account is created and TiMax group does not receive this data, there is no server-side profile to retrieve or delete.

Security and changes

SkillCodex validates the integrity of its bundled content before activation and disables Android backup for its app-local data. This policy will be updated before a future release introduces materially different data handling.
